This month I have completed designing my second website. Well, it is not my website - it belongs to Anatoly Zaya-Ruzo, a whimsical craftsman and mechanic. It showcases his gallery of automata, all of which are exquisite in concept and execution. You can visit it at AUTOMATADOLLS.COM.

My main achievement with the website was the background graphics and the layout. I was finally happy with the balance. Besides that, I've helped with costumes for a few dolls, including Rosalinda on a Tree, Conjurer, Lady Chopped in Twain, and Pasha II. It is a truly a rare artform. Go take a look.

My Design for the Hamlet Poster

Hamden High School's production of "Hamlet" was amazing!

To start, here are a few necessary words about it. The cast's talents left me speechless and the director's semi-modern take on the Shakespearean classic made it work. Frankly, it is quite difficult to make Shakespeare work, not to mention entertaining to the point of utter captivation, and yet the production achieved just that. Let us disregard those of my less cultured friends who left the show disappointed, because there was nothing to be disappointed about.

Honestly, I am honored to have contributed to the production. Although I was not a part of the crew or the cast, I did help in the best way I could. The design of this poster was finalized after several attempts and ideas, and I am glad that both the director and I were happy with the result. This is one of my first major graphic design works - let us hope there will be more to follow!

P. S. See if you can recognize where the skull in the poster came from...
